After a high-octane battle in Atlanta, the Bandit Racing League shifted to the high-speed quad-oval of Charlotte Motor Speedway for week three of Season 16. The night belonged to Josh Adams and the 937 Racing crew, as Adams drove a masterful race to secure victory and claim the first P1 payout of the night.
Adams qualified 6th, showing strong long-run pace in practice. Once the green flag waved, he sliced his way to the front, eventually taking control of the race and leading a race-high 54 laps. Despite multiple late-race restarts and heavy pressure from behind, Adams kept his #22 TRD Tundra glued to the bottom lane to cross the line under running status and claim the checkered flag.
Rakes and Platt Charge Forward
While Adams controlled the front, the hard charger of the night belonged to his 937 Racing teammate, Michael Rakes. Starting from a distant 21st on the grid, Rakes put on a masterclass of oval drafting and passing, slicing through the pack to bring his truck home in a spectacular 4th place finish. This double top-5 performance catapults 937 Racing up the Team standings.
GFR Racing's **Johnathon Platt** also put on an impressive display of passing. Starting from 14th after a difficult qualifying session, Platt stayed patient, dodged early incidents, and charged forward to finish in 2nd place. Platt continues to show incredible consistency in the championship battle.
Lacy Leads Early, Berry Runs Clean
Outside pole-sitter **Benjamin Lacy** was another strong contender. Lacy took the lead early and paced the field for 27 laps, showing great speed in the opening stints before settling for a strong 3rd-place podium finish. **Scott Sanderson** also took a turn at the front, leading 20 laps and finishing 6th.
Meanwhile, the award for the cleanest run of the night belonged to **Bob Berry**. Starting 11th, Berry ran a smart, conservative race, steering clear of any draft-related issues to finish 5th with a perfect **0-incident count**.
