Coming out of turn four on the final lap, Sean Britt and Jonathon Platt were locked in a furious drag race down to the start-finish line with the checkered flag in sight. In a desperate bid for the win, Britt made an extremely aggressive move down the track, crashing hard into the side of Platt's truck. The contact sent Platt spinning down into the infield grass in a cloud of smoke, while Britt crossed the finish line and was initially recorded as the race winner.
